Performs testing of HART software. Applies test automation technology to efficiently execute tests, evaluate software/system correctness, automate regression tests, and reduce testing time. Performs analysis of documented user requirements and directs or assists in the design of test plans in support of user requirements for moderately complex to complex software or IT systems.  May participate in all phases of risk management assessment and software/hardware development. Responsible for ensuring that the test design and documentation support all applicable clients, agency or industry standards time lines and budgets. Responsible for ensuring that testing conclusions and recommendations are fully supported by test results, and project managers are fully informed of testing status and application deviations from documented user requirements.

Required:
·       Experience either in cucumber/ruby automated test development (preferred), or 10 years of automated testing/scripting development.
·       Familiarity with web-based applications; languages used for application programming and test scripting both front-end and back-end systems (ex: Java, Go, Ruby, Python, shell scripts).
·       Experience working on Linux-based environments.
·       The software system is heavily weighted in back-end systems, with a smaller amount of front-end testing required.  An understanding of web services architectures, with an understanding of SOAP and REST interfaces, is required.

Key tasks include analysis of legacy system database designs, development of databases designs for the system to be developed with an emphasis on the biographic database using PostgreSQL, understanding the matching system database, Hadoop architecture, and Hadoop Distributed File System, developing ETL to migrate the legacy data to the new system, and developing database queries and reports consistent with operational needs.

Other duties include determining the impact of requirements changes, design compliance with information assurance standards, allocation of capability across builds, specification of integration and test sequences, development of project engineering plans and system specifications, and review of project designs, testing plans, information assurance audits, schedules, and other project deliverables. 

Required: 10+ years experience as a systems engineer on a large data system.  Experience developing transaction systems as a software engineer or systems engineer/administrator. Experience with Cloud-based systems.

Reporting to the Chief Engineer, perform analysis of and document project, system, hardware, and software requirements, to include verifying them for accuracy, completeness, trace to system elements, and validating them for correctness and ability to meet mission objectives. Verify requirements allocation to system builds to ensure builds meet demonstrable objectives. Track and report requirements changes, stability, and verification/test status. Develop requirements verification methods in collaboration with the testing team. Evaluate the impacts of requirements changes. Implement a requirements management system to track requirements, traceability, and verification status. 

Required: 10+ years experience as a systems engineer or requirements analyst on a large data system.  Experience developing transaction systems as a software engineer or systems engineer/administrator.
